Commission FAQs
Explore this section for answers to frequently asked questions about commissioning custom artwork from Joni Murphy.
Are you currently accepting commissions?
Yes. I accept a limited number of commissions annually.
If you have a desired delivery date, please submit an inquiry using the form below.
How do payment terms and deposits work?
To secure your project in my calendar, a 30% deposit is required.
The remaining balance must be settled after you approve the final artwork but before the physical piece or digital files are delivered.
Who holds the copyright for the artwork?
As the artist, I retain full copyright for all commissioned pieces, including reproduction rights.
You receive ownership of the original physical or digital artwork for your personal collection.
What are my usage rights as a client?
You are welcome to personally enjoy your commission by:
• Displaying it in your home
• Printing for personal use
• Sharing on social media with credit
Commercial use requires a separate license.
Will my commission be shared publicly?
I may share the creative process and final results in my portfolio or on social media to promote my studio.
If your piece is a surprise gift or needs to remain private, please notify me in advance.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
Deposits are non-refundable as they cover prep and materials.
If you choose to cancel once the project has started, a progress fee will be applied based on the amount of work completed at that time.
