Stretching Watercolour Paper
As with many practices in watercolour, Stretching your paper is a personal choice.
Or is used in occasions when needed. Stretching the paper is done to prevent your surface from buckling while you are working. It also give the painting a secure ground to be kept on if its going to take a few sittings to finish it. It is a fundamental skill in any watercolourists "tool box", and worth experimenting with to see if it does suit your style of working. The video tutorial below goes through two ways I prepare my paper.
When your paper is ready to use Fill it up with COLOUR!
